Another word game
 

The word games that people enjoyed and joined in with on AccyWeb seem to have disappeared now, or am I missing something? Is this because we have all become a bit addled? So I thought I’d start another one and hope members will have a go. The rules of this game (though can be made flexible if need be) are that keeping the same first and last letter as is but changing the order the letters in between are in (and not adding to or removing any of them) make a new word with an entirely different meaning.

Bring your brains out of isolation, blow the dust away – then have a go. Here are some examples to start with:

Dairy/diary; goal/gaol; bairn/brain; bran/barn.
