Blackburn Hawks

Got some free tickets to see the ice hockey team, Blackburn Hawks play tonight at Blackburn Arena. Really good atmosphere, won 4-1. Some of the rules were a mystery but they played some good stuff. Not quite USA V USSR many years ago but i enjoyed it all the same. Suprised though that there werent more people there. Admission prices are £5 for adults, £2.50 concessions

My friends fiancé plays for Blackburn Hawks, Michael Brunton.. he said Ice Hockey is starting to take off and they get quite a few fans now. He plays for Scotland at National Level also so doesn't win much Lol

Jeez I used to watch the hawks years ago, was an excellant (and relatively cheap) night out for the kids, soooo enjoyable!

Nice to hear the boys are doing well - used to play roller hockey (identical to ice hockey but with inline skates) with a lot of the lads who now make up the hawks, probably would be playing for them myself now if it wasn't for knee injury meaning I was out for 2 years never got back into it :(
