You better cut out that fighting talk, Mr Kiwi, sir, or you won't be getting your Stanley shirt next week.

Anyway, back to the rugby... I heard that New Zealand rugby is like a size 32A bra... Plenty of support but no cups! :rofl38:

I hope we win the third game in Aukland on Friday, or England will be playing for pride by the time we get to Napier, and they don't seem to have much of that.

Why don't you take him a few chavs out with you and show him what sport England really excel at :D

Failing that my sister is moving there in a couple of months, I'll get her to sort him out :)

She's selling her car and flying out :dork:

To be honest I'm not sure where she decided on, all I know is that her hubby has got a job with Fujitsu. Actually you have given me a good idea for a leaving present, now I'll have to go down to the club shop at the Turf :D

In honour of the forthcoming arrival of SPARKOLOGIST and his trusty sidekick LETTIE, we gave you game 3 to keep the series alive.Doubtless it will rain here in the Bay on Wednesday as it hasn't seriously done so for about 5 months. In case of a drought, give Hawkes bay a one day international- gaureenteed rainmaker.

Don't say your going to creep through a nick and draw the series 2-2 John:D

Best not talk about the first test eh???? :)

Sparkologist 11-03-2008 03:33

A shoddy example of a team

No, let's not! :tongueout

All the Kiwis we spoke to on our travels reckoned it would be a cake-walk for England. I never suspected this for a minute. Our bowling attack is lame & tame. To win a test match, a team has to bowl the opposition out twice; something we are incapable of performing.

On a brighter note... Thank you for your hospitality Kiwi John. Lettie & I had a great evening spent in your company.

Sparks...the pleasure was all ours.
Part of me was hoping for you lot to fair dinkum smash us so as we could be rid of Bracewell. That won't now happen and we will have to put up with him for another couple of years...

Re: Cricket anyone??

Hey it's not over yet, when does the next one start ? This week some time hopefully to keep me occupied !
Our real problem has got to be the bowling, Harmison is obviously not fit and although I watched the interview he did with Nasser and agree with a lot of what he said , I have to say that the one day situation is daft, you can't pick and choose what games you play for your country.
Also thought that ITB was a huge hypocrite in what he said about the game coming first and being a true professional, this from the man who regularly rolled up drunk to matches and in no way fit !

He's a nice bloke Jaysay, met him at Accy , a couple of seasons ago when he was playing for Burnley to recover from his recurrent back problems, my brother bowled him out ! He was very sociable in the bar after and seems very down to earth and real if you know what I mean !

Re: Cricket anyone??

Right. It starts 10.30 Saturday ( NZ time) just 20 ks up the road. Its easter weekend here(Is it over there?) Karen has insisted we go camping for 4 days at a beachside settlement.I was going to take the eldest to the cricket.. now, if you are a betting person/people go for the draw as the weather for the test is looking decidedly 'dodgy'. we are in drought conditions here so any rain would be welcome. Was hoping the negative outlook would deter us from going camping but as we are due to depart in 3 hours, it dosen't look like it.
I don't really expect much cricket from Sat late arvo onwards...
GO THE BLACK CAPS. Long live Stephen Flemming

lindsay ormerod 20-03-2008 17:23

Re: Cricket anyone??

I'd say feign illness to avoid the camping and get to the cricket ! last chance to see the Fleming in his natural habitat !:D

Third and decisive test, lets put up a truly English performance and pulverise them.

On second thoughts lets put up a normal England performance and give them an easy win by throwing our first 3 wickets away for 4 runs

Well, the plan was to pack up and race home from the beach to catch the second and third sessions today(Monday) but when NZ did the traditional collapse yesterday, those plans were scuttled.Absolutely no sign of rain so it looks like you lot will get this one,as its 317/3 at time of writing.Gosh we are kind to you.
NOT HAPPY
