20/20 is a 20 0vers per side played under the international rules. The basic idea is to smash as many runs of the 120 balls without losing you wicket by catch lbw (leg before wicket) run out the baller hitting the wicket. It is like smash n grab. This makes the match more exciting to watch. The one day game is 55 overs and is a tad more sedate than 20/20 but same basic idea. The 5 day test is the cricket equivelent to chess.

Definately tennis - although Andy Murray kept me up well past my bedtime last night - can't stand cricket, it never seems to get going.

It does help with cricket, if you've actually played the game, I played while I was in my mid twenties, then had to quit for work reasons

Re: Cricket or tennis?

I have played both, and enjoy watching both, so I agree with Jaysay, it helps if you have played, or maybe it just helps if you know the rules, and the effect the player is trying to produce with the ball (spin, bounce etc), I also agree the Murray/Wawrinka match was very watchable!

I'm trying to, but the BBC seem intent on showing famous people in the crowd instead.

This is a classic!
