We are still partying here ... the hangover can wait ...

What a game .... did you watch the whole thing, hon? And the winning goal from Sydney Crosby, the pride of Coal Harbour, Nova Scotia ... and the outstanding play of guys like Patrick Marleau who hails from Aneroid, Saskatchewan, (population 45):mosher: Even the closing ceremonies were not all that bad (esp. seen thro' a haze):D

And the total of 14 gold medals:eek::theband: ... the highest ever total ....

It's a great day to be Canadian.

Hope you enjoyed it .... but, hockey can become addictive if you watch too much: warning signs of addiction will be saying "eh" a lot, calling people you don't like "hosers", and discovering that your favorite beer is Molson Canadian .... and chugging out of the bottle:D

The people who look at tv stats estimate that 21 million Canadians watched all or part of the game (our population is about 32 million) ... which leads me to wonder what the hell the other 11 million were doing ... probably too drunk to reach for the remote:eek:

One of the best tv images of the post game came from Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, from the men and women of the Canadian Battle Group. Rumour has it that Canada is sending the womens' hockey team to sort out the Taliban:mosher:

Great game eh Eric, the best I could do was listen to it on the radio, we were driving through California on our way to Palm springs. I almost ran into a bus when they scored in O.T. The Yanks down here are taking it very well though. Not much follow up on the telly, can,t seem to catch any replays? Great result though and a great olympics.

Yup ... we are on top of the world ... when the games started the world press, esp. the British papers, were very critical, even blaming us for the death of the Georgian athlete ... the yanks were laughing at us ... no one is laughing now, and some British journalists are touting the Van olympics as a model for London. And we had to win that last game: it's our game, played on our ice, in our barn, on our dirt; and we showed the world who is number one:mosher:
