I hope to watch it - thought he was the most charismatic player of them all.
Just such a shame he chose the same path as Besty, Gazza, Jim Baxter et al.

I missed the first 10 minutes of this, so I don't know if there was any mention of Accy at the start; there was certainly no reference in the part that I did catch. There were, however two segments of interviews with Higgins which I'm quite sure took place in the old Elite because I'm sure I saw the town hall through the background window.

No matter; he's now gone through the Pearly Gates. I wonder if, by any chance, the People's Champion has met up with the People's Princess? Maybe she's asked for a frame or two in return for giving him one over the snooker table..

What a primitive view of afterlife you have.
How can he manage that when he doesn't have 'tackle' any more?:D

Did you not see the interview for the old Look North programme it showed a few clips from it. It was done up the Elite. I am sure I saw you and me sitting at the window with a bottle of Coke and a Mars bar.

It's where the interviewer and Alex were leaning over a snooker table. You could see the Town Hall through the window and at one point you could see the word ELITE in the window.

Aye, i thought there was something familiar about those two dodgy characters in the background. And of course, it was Accy railway viaduct, complete with a backdrop of chimneys.
