Re: best television Detectives
1) Morse
2) Dalziel and Pascoe 3) Sherlock Holmes ( with Jeremy Brett ) I watched that daft " who would solve your murder " thing on tv the other week and still can't comprehend how Columbo came top ?? The bloke obviously can't even find a dry cleaners for his mac let alone a murderer! Makes me think they only picked him because he was still around for a quote whereas the late lamented John Thaw sadly isn't. |

There are that many repeats of Columbo that he would come top. Just goes to show that you shouldnt judge on the wrapping only. :p Besides that mac is as well known as Morses Jag Holmes and his deerstalker and pipe and the drinking that Dalziel does. ;) |
Re: best television Detectives
Oooh I vaguely remember Fabian of the Yard.
How about Sabre of London? I'd forgotten Cadfael too. Those are superb stories. |
Re: best television Detectives
What about Foyles War would that count? Fabian and Sabre never heard of em. :o Maybe to young.
