I do have an opinion about this, but would probably be better in over 18's, I can say, any 'man' who would do that, rates quite low on my the list.

Must agree their Derek, but can't agree with your description, man, even though it was in inverted commas, only a coward acts like that, nothing more nothing less:(

Yes, it is shocking......and it does make you think the first few times you see it.....but I feel that the advertising campaigns like this, soon lose their impact because when it is viewed frequently it ceases to shock in the same way. It is almost as if you get used to it.......well that is, of course, unless you have been a victim of this kind of violence and then it is just painful

What a horrible thing to watch

Just the same I suppose, to see it really happening

I would not wish this situation on anyone... man or woman
It is a shame in some cases where they think no one can help them
Or if they ask for help it will make things worse

It would be nice to know that everybody has at least someone to talk to.... but not always the case :(

I haven't watched and don't want to see it - will stir up bad memories.
He came to a violent sticky end himself 23 years later.
That gave me faith that 'what goes around comes around' - natural justice in action

I think it's a very good advert for a very good cause. However I do take this time to highlight the lack of domestic violence against men campaigns there are. :(

Agreed Andrew, 2 weeks ago a friend of mine was hit with an iron (the ironing clothes kind) on the head, his partner of 12 years often has a 'rant' was what he told me! Now there is a woman requiring a slap methinks!

Don't need to view..been there got the tee shirt.

Almost 40 years now since Erin Pizzey started the first women's refuge. There are now many of these refuges, which is good. But the problem of domestic abuse doesn't seem to go away and probably never will.

The police service is now more active in prosecuting perpetraters of domestic violence, which is good. Way back when I was a victim, they did nothing.

1 in 6 cases of domestic violence is against males. The support for men seems sadly lacking even in this supposedly enlightened day and age.

Seems that this ad concentrates on female victims..not male?

I know that help lines are for men as well as women, but it would seem that men are a lot less likely to report abuse anyway, as if they would be seen as weak maybe.

sorry just dont think the 'ad' works , just a typical Google Page Ranking exercise and tabliod 'blurb' for an A list actress who wants to do good works . Maybe if the actress portrayed was more "down home" and less well known it would have more impact on regular folks. Not sure, but I think lot of people see this and think its an Ad for a forthcoming movie .
sorry , but maybe i'm just cynical
