just watched this load of tripe.......would someone who has watched it care to explain what the heck the film was all about? i was led to believe it was a vampire-ish kinda film (love vampy films).....how wrong i was, i didn't understand one bit of it, wish i hadn't bothered watching it now

yup it was based on a picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde :)

Dorian sells his soul to be youthful forever and the picture ages in his place.

Which version did you watch , was it a modern day remake ? , the 1945 version with George Sanders is a classic

Well, Dorian had a portrait in the attic, which was supposed to age instead of her, but Sharon and Tracy nicked it, and sold it down the carboot at Romford, so the plan went pear shaped.

I do not have a clue, steeljack...but I suspect it's some character from one of the soap operas Rindy is glued to when he's not fooling around on here. It's just a shame that he could not have helped Flashy with a brief synopsis of The Picture of Dorian Gray - one of the classics of English Literature.

Funnily enough, I was drinking earlier on in the Mahogany bar in Wilton's Music Hall, which some academics believe is where Wilde based Sybil Vane's music hall at Blue Gate Fields in the book.
