Yep i am a shell of my former self in the space of one post, as for the counselling anything that involves getting to actually stop and get a lie down i'm up for that :D

Oh, No....there won't be any lying down.....that is psychoanalysis........much more costly.
You will be asked to act out your anxieties, in relation to your belief that Coronation Street was a real place, and portrayed real life.
The good news....it is only seven and sixpence a session.

How did Becky manage to find a handsome man who is moving to Barbados? Which man in his right mind would think of her as a 'catch'. A chain smoking, drunk who loots corner shops. Bonkers.

Plus I don't like it's depiction of Northerners as adulterous drunks. I can't think of one long-term marriage in it (Hayley and Roy? Mmm) or a traditional family set-up.

He's not such a catch.

He's lied to her.

He's actually a doctor from Casualty, now unable to work because of Parkinson's.

Oh, and he's actually gay.

Becky's in for a shock.

I agree with some of your points! One big error in all soaps is the issue of prison visits. They always get non-family members visit appointments on the day at short notice! In reality that does not happen. An individual or family member can not turn up at a prison to see someone in there by cold calling - they just would not get in. Yet in soaps they always do - it's rubbish! Your right they are all stereo types all northerners arn't drunks or wife swappers - except maybe Jaysay! :p:D

I ain't got a wife and would have gladly swapped my last one for a Cocker Spaniel, they're more faithful and I drink very little:p. One think which has me wondering though is how do you know, in great detail, the visiting rights of those in HMs Prisons:rolleyes:

There's no credit in being 'the best'.

In every barrel of rotten apples there is always one which can be declared least rotten.

Yep the prison visit thing has always bugged me too. We used to visit a lifer who was an old school friend of my partner and had to wait for him to send us a visiting order before we could go and see him. He was in several different gaols before he topped himself and the routine was always the same.

Coronation Street - Hilda breaks down 1984 - YouTube

Now that's what i call real life WM!

Very moving acting - great to watch all the names on the credits at the end, this is how i remember Corrie.

Just a thought, do they still serve Newton & Ridley in the Rovers Return?
