Tony is funny, it doesn't matter what he does he always looks like he's been dragged through a hedge, he used to work on The Nelson Leader and he bought his house off a friend of mine

I thought that someone called Roger Johnson was taking over from Gordon Burns....not Tony Livesey.

It won't be the same as seeing him though........I never was much of a one for romantic interests...but I would give Gordon the top off my egg any morning.

He'd be staying the night then ... ;)

Me too, Margaret ... was quite attractive in a charismatic way.
Only met him once at a Christmas do at the Midland Hotel, Man. Absolutely charming man.

Re: Gordon Burns - End of an Era

Introduced to Gordon at Granada Studios way back in the 1980's, during a major enquiry when he was the frontman for 'Police File'. The most amenable and helpful media person I have ever come across. I will always remember him as that rarety: a media personality who was not up his own backside . . . so to speak. Heard his first broadcast on Radio Lancashire last Sunday and it went down very well.

No Kate........I would invite him over for breakfast. I'm not one of those fast cats;).
Now you have made me very envious.
