More Porn and Gambling on TV;thanks New Labour!

I noticed in the last year that a new soft porn channel called Babestation is now available from midnight free on all Digital boxes, which from April all TV users will have to have in order to get TV with the digital change over. There are I think 4 channels with this on and each one has different girls basically taking part in a "peep show!"

Thing is it's on all night and is free which means kids can watch it if they have TV or computer in their bedroom and it shows near naked girls simulating sex and then offers links to hardcore porn! I just think this is going to be watched by children in their bedrooms - if so is that right! I think at least about 1 year ago this porn was not shown free and any interested party had to pay by credit card to have a "peep!"

Simultaneously gambling which has been on our TV's a lot longer since Tony Blair changed the law to allow it - Bingo and gambling is freely advertised on TV.

So new labour have encouraged these 2 "products" onto TV that weren't there before!

I'm not happy about it. Because both these "products" are just as addictive and damaging to many people in the same way as drugs may be to some!

Children watching soft porn all night?

Sounds like a case for sensible, tough parenting.

Make sure they don't have access to a television in their bedrooms.

Alternatively cut their drug allowance.

Or increase it.

So they'll be too out of it to have any interest in sex.

Sorted.

As I have already said, , you should do more research on Dirty Des, New Labours pornographer in chief!
The man supports who ever will help him and his business. Up to 2004 it was you lot, now it's Dave. It will change

And who do you think supported Labour leading up to the 1997 GE and afterwards, Labour were happy to take the Murdoch shilling to promote there own ramshackled policies, until the digger got wind of their crass economic stupidity

you have a parental guide on your set top box to restrict the viewing if this channel to minors, read your user guide and stop whinging about it,if you set your box correctly your kids couldn't watch this program unless they had a pin number.

Very true. This is what the parental controls are for.

It's 2012 and you're worried about a channel showing softcore after midnight?

Heard of this thing called the Internet?

Having lived with a gambler for many years I'm personally not happy with the increase in gambling channels because I know from personal experience the heartbreak caused by gambling addiction. But looking at the broader picture everyone has to be responsible for their actions, and as said previously parental control should be used when children are in the household.

That was your choice.

Most of us, may gamble a little, may drink alot, but never enough to make it a real problem.

If you and he can't control your problems that doesn't mean we all have that problem, live with it, leave him or sort it, it's up to you, it's your life don't dump it on the rest of us.
