That's pretty funny. But. Does a few old men meeting for a beer or two on a Saturday afternoon count as a secret society? :p :do-one:

That's what they want us to think...!!!

Or so the anti social ones might say. all those who have popped by occasionally would probably disagree.

I don't go in case they have their trouser legs rolled up. There are some sights that an old biddy like me can't cope with. :D

I don't think Chris should have been barred.

Considering the reactions I got when I first started this thread - at the time it was a shot in the dark, but since starting it I have apparently been vindicated. :do-one:

I think his first account was banned because of offensive posts in some form. Admin gave him a long leach with his second account. I guess he was banned this time for his offensive karma posts. It is what it is

He hasn't been barred, he has been banned, obviously he was upsetting folk, including the mod's.

I don't consider you to be vindicated, if as you say, 'a shot in the dark', that I take to mean a guess, do we really need 'shots in the dark', or do we need sane factual posts?

Please don't come back with the old freedom of speech dribble, there is no such thing, when we signed up as members we signed up to the rules, (yes even those of us that didn't read them), so if a mod/admin say's you're out, you're out.
They need to give us no reason whatsoever.
Tow a reasonable line don't ruin the site for others and you stay, otherwise suffer withdrawal.
Oh the pain of my last ban wishing I could reply to your inane diatribe, (whatever it was), and having no keyboard to do it, luckily my ban was only temporary.
:)

I would've agreed with kestrelx about the banning if Chris hadn't broken so many basic fundamental (universal) forum rules

Also being previously banned and not taking advice on how to stay a member of the forum the second time. It seemed to me that admin gave him a chance and he blew it.

You can't ban members just because a bunch of other members don't like their views and quickyness. One thing I noticed is that Chris must have received quite a bit of positive karma. That goes to show that some people didn't mind him. Though I agree flooding the forum with the conspiracy nonsense is a no-go.

I suppose that if he was to have not been banned, a thread in anything goes titled "Conspiracy" or something like that could've been purposed. Then most people wouldn't have to read the stuff.

its simple to me, if it was him that posted obscene insulting comment in a anon karma message?, then it was a no-brainer.

I don't remember a complaint about karma comments except for a post on a thread so it was not the reason I gave to him.
