re: comedy poll
Well for me the best comedy is you at the moment. It might be a good idea to learn to spell, punctuate and write proper sentences before starting five threads at once on Accyweb.

Re: comedy poll
It's difficult to say what the best comedy you've ever seen is. At the moment mine is Mrs. Brown's boys which has me crying with laughing for the first time for ages!

We recently had a thread on here called "Are registered members frightening?" - from the reaction to one of Forza's very first posts by Sue I should imagine that the answer would be "Yes" by this particular new member. A bit out of order i think...especially considering her remark in post #46 of that thread: "It may be my attitude that has helped me get along so well here but it's also the thought of a community out there who are very caring about someone they may never meet." Back to the commedy - I am a lover of old fashioned 70's commedy, The Good Life, To the Manor born, The Rise and fall of Reginald Perrin etc. also love the Blackadder series... |

Doesn't hurt to give people a chance...

There has been a lot of good comedy - Blackadder, Dad's Army and Fools & Horses to name three. As for the reason they are funny I have no idea. One comedy that wouldn't get in my top 100 would be On The Buses. It was just dirty old men letching over girls. As funny as having piles

Re: comedy poll
Let's bring movies into this. Planes, Trains and Automobiles starring Steve Martin and John Candy is a film comedy I never tire of. The same applies to Laurel and Hardy's short films (their full-length films don't quite do it for me).
|
Planes Trains and Automobiles is a top comedy film. I like all the Laurel and Hardy films. Timeless humour. Good shout

Re: comedy poll
John Candy was wonderful and sadly missed, all his films were very funny especially Uncle Buck, and Richard Prior and the Belushi guy from the Blues Brothers. As for the throwing up even us ladies have our limits of endurance!
