Funny what frightens you when you are young -it was the Daleks for me -but if I see them now they are quite laughable!

Was also a fan of Star-trek and some of the alien beings were pretty nasty too...

The Borg are nasty, and they play a mean game of tennis too.

Every kid was scared of the Daleks etc my fav scare was the Sea Devils - but anyone remember - Tales of Mystery and Imagination? That was very scarey!

Didn't find anything scary about Dr. Who ... However, "Journey into Space" was real scary ... and on tv, "Quatermass ll" and "Quatermass and the Pit"

There must be something missing in my make-up. I didn't/don't find any of these remotely scary, horror and SF leave me quite cold, and I don't mean in a shivery spooky sense!

Come to think of it, the Quatermass thing came up in an episode of "Hancock's Half Hour" ... I think it was the one where they found an unexploded bomb in the garden at 23 Railway Cuttings, East Cheam. Loved that show.:D But it wasn't all that scary;)

That's 'cause you are built low to the ground ... the scary stuff goes right over your head:hidewall:

Daleks for me.

I never 'hid behind the sofa' but I remember having seriously bad dreams about them on more than one occasion. During Paul McGann's tenure, the novels fleshed out the Daleks quite a bit and there were some seriously twisted variations such as the Spider Dalek:

Interesting photo -not much like the real thing though. Doesn't have that same "transformed dustbin" look - much more modern and technological!

I haven't actually seen much of the new Dr. Who series -loved it with Christopher Ecclestone -shame he only did the one series -thought he was brilliant.
Found this great photo of some of the original daleks from a very early series -obviously about to get on a bus!!

Nope, 'fraid not Mo, they're part of the ever increasing Alien rights movement protesters, complaining about the lack of access & speciesism being shown by not employing Daleks as bus conductors. ;)
