Please Read: Posting link to web sites and copyright information
Please can I remind people that posting a link like this is ok
BBC News but copying and pasting information from that site is a breech of copyright and will be deleted and infractions given, repeat offenders could be banned. Posting copyrighted information can and will get Accrington Web into trouble with the owner of the copyrighted information. This is the current rule covering this Quote:
If you are not sure about something you wish to post please as a mod. |
Re: Please Read: Posting link to web sites and copyright information
So if I wish to highlight a specific article from within the "BBC news" for sake of argument the Hodgson story, is that admissible if I click on it as "copy address link" then post it in here ? But I would assume copying of a paragraph from the article then posting it would be unacceptable ?

Re: Please Read: Posting link to web sites and copyright information
You can post a link to the webpage you wish to discuss as long as you summarise the explaination of the link too but you can't copy the article blurb onto the forum because that is technically copyright plagerism.

Re: Please Read: Posting link to web sites and copyright information
I think I follow, but could you please clarify which of the below is acceptable :-
This is about Hodgson being sacked ; BBC Sport - Football - Roy Hodgson exits Liverpool & Kenny Dalglish takes over (I'm assuming this is OK ?) This is about Hodgson being sacked ; excerpt from story Hodgson, 63 ..................... season. (Whereas this isn't ?) |

Re: Please Read: Posting link to web sites and copyright information
Reminder - seems that some members have been posting copyright material, please do not copy/paste articles from press/media/web etc, the blurb must be in your own words not extracted from the links text as will be removed/edited immediately so accyweb wont be in breach of copyright legals. Would appreciate accyweb members observation of the rule if they wish their posts to remain onsite.
eg: your blub on the link..... then post the link to the site/article underneath, tho must not be spam/porn/or other unsuitable links for family site viewing. Many thanks :) |
