I grew up on Stanhill Lane, before leaving to go to London for seventeen years, and then I decided to move back to Ossy.

Where abouts in France are you, and what took you there?

We moved here nearly 6 years ago, we thought it would be a better life for the children who were 11 and 12 at the time.

I love France. I spent a term there when I was at art school, as well as having had many, many holidays there, both in the south, and the east coast.

I did consider moving to Brittany...and still might.

We live in Brittany 40 minutes from Roscoff, and near to the Cote de Granit Rose, a beautiful coastline where the rocks are a pink colour, hence the name.

It's lovely up there, but I do prefer the south around Quiberon, as that's where my friend has her bar in St. Pierre, and there's also a cottage with my name on it.

The best thing about Brittany, unlike much of France, is that they like their Celtic cousins from across the Channel.:D

Worked with an old Chef in Jersey in the 1970s, from Bon Repos, Gouarec, I think that was it, do you know it. It was a long time ago. A fantastic chef, one of the old school.
