Hello from the new gal

Hello!

Just joined today-there is some rather interesting stuff on here. I can imagine all this can be rather addictive. Ive lived here all my life apart from a 4 year stint in Lancaster.

RUMOUR has it that Marks and Spencer in Accrington is not going to renew it lease and therefore closing down.....

Hope it isn't true-anyone know any details?! Think it would be the death of our town if it went.

Welcome to accyweb.

Hope your wrong about M & S, if your right it will probably be the death of an already dying town centre.

Hello and welcome, I hope you're wrong about M&S. I heard a rumour, some time ago, that the Council had waived M&S business rates in Hyndburn in a bid to keep them in the town. I can't see M&S actually making any profit from their Accy store. I wonder if any of our Councillors can confirm this rumour?
