Born and bred in Accrington(when the world was young) I lived there until I was 20, then moved on. I still have fond memories and have really enjoyed browsing through 'Accyweb' for a while, finally feeling I should try to join in a little. Glad to see Accrington still has its fair share of characters(at least on here) and astonished at how active this site is. I don't visit often but had a walk round last summer and was really puzzled at how the Library had managed to shrink to half the size it was when I was a boy.

Thanks, jaysay. I grew up at the bottom of Steiner Street( knocked down for the new road ) then my folks went 'posh' and moved to the top of Bold Street-we had a FRONT GARDEN(about 2 feet deep).
