Centaur

Hello everybody,

Just a quick introduction. I was brought up in Church, Ossy and Accy, left in 1970 and since then have lived mainly in Europe and New Zealand. But still an Accy lad.:)

I welcome you, Centaur, but think you will get more responses if you declared your identity and told summat about yourself when living locally

Thanks Bob. I've read most of your books about Accy and such, and found them all great.
As I said, my identity is directly linked to my past ship in the Navy, which I joined after leaving Accrington Secondary Technical School (opposite the Palladium up Ossy). Started at Earnest Street Baptists, then St James, Church Kirk and on to St. Andrews, Russia Street. Basically left Accy when I was 15, put came back a few times and worked in Blackburn, Duttons, Mullards, and a few pubs as barman. Got married at St. Peters church (Willows lane) and then wandered away living and working in Europe, New Zealand and anywhere else there was work. Still got a couple of mates in Accy, and recently met one I've not seen for 60 years whilst he was on a cruise of the Danube. Going out to see him again in December in Perth where he mainly lives.
Just enjoying some of the posts on here, but I'm afraid I'm not too active on web sites.

Hello Joaner3, you may know my wife when she lived on Charter Street. She use to go to Spring Hill school before ending up at Hyndburn Park.
Her name was Carole Walsh.
