huncoat power station
can anyone help me i am tearing my hair out!
i am after information about huncoat power station doeas any1 no when it first opened?also when did hyndburn borough council buy the land.all i know is that the houses before the bungalows that are on station road now the power station workers used to live in them.does any1 know.please help or point me in the right direction thanks:mad: |

Dead on Willow it was the early 50s, we had lodgers from Simon Carves who did a lot of the steelwork. Many of the people who worked on it stayed in Accrington and have families here.

Again i've only just stumbled on this thread and I have never seen a question better answered just for reference simon carves supplied and built the 5 boilers
