old pub info
I have recently taken over the Arden Inn in Accrington and would like to know some history about it. I have searched the web but come up with nothing except that it was once called The Flying Dutchman and only changed to The Arden Inn in 1929. We have had a paranormal team visit us and apparantly we have 3-4 ghosts, two in the cellar, one in the dart room and a dog. Any information would be helpful and very much appreciated

Re: old pub info
Can’t help mummyduck, but I would be happy to come and do a sitting and establish an independent view point on the paranormal activity. Better still if you are happy to do it I wouldn’t mind doing a charitable Ghost Watch with half a dozen of interested people from here.
Good luck with the pub, I hope you have every success. |
Re: old pub info
Have you had any pubs before that have been haunted ?

Re: old pub info
Thankyou for your reply and no, I havent had any other pubs at all let alone one thats haunted. My husband and I are new to the business and are loving it even though its very hard work with two small children, good job we like to be kept busy!

Have you much ghost hunting experience Doug? I never knew the Arden Inn had had any other name. I just assumed it had always been called that what with Plantation Street leading up to Arden Hall. We had an AccyWeb meet in the pub once and it seemed very nice. |
