The Dog's Trust, who used to be called the Canine Defence League, will not put down any healthy animal. We sponsor one, a Collie X called Amy, who can't be rehomed because she is scared of humans and so she bites. Amy will live the rest of her life at Huyton Dogs Trust kennels and we have visited her so I can assure you she's well cared for, as are all the dogs there. They do their utmost to rehome most dogs but they don't do it lightly. For a start they make a charge, check out the home the dog is going to and they regularly check up on any animal that leaves them.
