Yes it has been a glorious day today.......had a great day out at Bury Market....it was packed.

Bought myself a winter weatherproof jacket, hooded, lined, windproof.......it seemed a bit strange buying such an item on such a lovely day....but I had heard on the TV that next week we might get some snow :(....just want to be prepared.

Just to cheer you up, the weather here today is wild and wet, kinda like my girlfriend:eek:: heavy rain, winds gusting up to 90km/h:mosher: We got floods down near the lake ... it's fall and the leaves are blocking the storm sewers; however, the city crews are out in force unplugging the drains. Trees and power lines are down. This happens every year in the Great Lakes area. This is not a good day to be out on the lake fishing.

Sun shining, but fresh, crisp & cold today & we had our first ground frost last night, think I should be pulling the winter tyres out of the shed in the very near future.

Looks a bit like my waterproof jacket might get 'christened' this week.

Same here - very cold this morning but lovely this afternoon for our village festival. Won some rubbishy things at the church "Lucky dip" -no wooden spoon which was what i really needed though.

We had some very early snow last year and had to get snow tyres because of a new law they brought out here for those living in our Region which is near the Alps -did it snow again once we'd spent a small fortune and changed them.....Will be booking in to get ours changed over when the Temp. stays below 10°C during the day -anytime soon i think.

Well despite a rather grey and dismal start I have managed to get two lines of washing dry today.
It has been quite a sunny afternoon.

Jumpers cardigans, a damart vest might be a good idea too.
Something to keep out the wet.

You should be able to check the local forecast a couple of days before you set off.
I will be off to Wales with Ma next Monday and that is what I do.......it isn't foolproof, but it does give you some idea of what to pack.
