Banned

I was just wondering as to what happens when somebody gets banned from the site. Is the individual free to re-join under a different name or is their IP address blocked?

Just curious, thats all.

I think their IP is blocked, tho depends how long the ban is set indefinately or temporary ban, which i dont get:confused:

well surely if thier ip is blocked they wouldnt be able to even view the site ? just guessing

IP bans only work if you have a static IP. Most people's IP changes each time there modem/router/whatever connects to the net.

Mine is static.

If a banned person tries to join again with a different IP and they are discovered to be the same person they'll only end up banned again. It has happened.

Better watch what I say or I might be beaten up or worse banned from the site (prying it dosnt happen). :rolleyes: Round one to torture round to for a slow painful completion of the task. Oh dont forget the kleenex for Niel to wipe his eyes. Mel 1 arm is still longer than the other after that run in with tinks (sits grimacing at the humiliation ) and might not recover from it, well hopefully I will for next time. :D
