Maybe it is just that the plural and singular have the same form. Like sheep (no sheeps), deer (no deers), moose (how about mooses, or meese).:eek:

But there is only one Wales, therefore has no plural.

This is true. Unless one considers North Wales as being sort of separate from South Wales.;)
