They lose their plumage after the breeding season then grow another fancy tail ready for next year.

I love peacock feathers. I know a 'witchy' lady in Morecambe who uses them in things she makes and doesn't regard them as a bad luck omen which I find quite interesting.

suspect they belong to the house at bottom round the corner, the one with the big garden n fence around, seen allsorts of creatures in there.
