Is this the calm before the storm?

Well, it seems to me that we have been going through a calm period, nobody signing on to accyweb just to put us straight, nobody being accused of racial hatred just because of some oblique slip of the tongue and nobody demanding a new regime to be set up in which all are equal and freedom of speech is paramount.

BUT, is this just the calm before the storm? when all the students etc that have just signed on at their new colleges are let loose on the www with their various important sociological assignments will we get yet another influx of self righteous people explaining how we have gone wrong?

I hope not, because I have enjoyed the past few weeks where instead of having to go over and over the same narrow view points just to explain to those that refuse to understand what accyweb is about, I have been able to dip my toes into the various subjects that the 'normal' contributor to accyweb has brought forward, I have even had time to allow my imagination to run riot and post a few more things in anything goes.

I do hope we are to be left alone but somehow, I doubt it.

:D

Not in the slightest katex, if you really, really concentrate and read what I've said we have all been getting along in a grand fashion which is what I was applauding. :)

Nope not missing it, happy to come on and just attempt to be silly in anything goes rather than have to attempt justifying our existence to people that don't know us, BLISS!

Yes, Spuggie, think some truth in that ..:D although ...

What is a 'normal' contributor anyway ? I have analized his profile and my conclusion is that he could well be enjoying it at the moment 'cause he is the only extravagant contributor just now, so big fish in a little pond, whereby, previously lots of extravagant contributors, so he became a little fish in a big pond.

Think a couch session is required .. (no innuendos in reply please Less) ..:p:D

Aw, thanks Mate. Wasn't sure if I'd been missed or not. Then again, maybe it wasn't aimed at my absence as I'm only a 1 1/2 year old member (hmmm, wonder what that is in dog years)!:p

But seriously, I agree Less. In the short times I've checked into Accyweb over the past few weeks, it has been nice not to see all that ugliness. To see a thread for the first time already on page 37 makes it tough (thankfully sometimes eh?) to catch up!

It also really bugs me as I don't have time to review all the new threads and I do feel a loss at not "keeping in touch" with my Accy family!

The weather (see weather thread) has made getting ready for the cooler weather (ha, what is that) extra difficult!
