Don't think you can ever go wrong in Early Learning Panther .. 'course would have to go to Blackburn (next to the back entrance at Debenhams). Their quality is undeniable.

Mentioned it last year, but my son got oodles of pleasure out of the Brio train tracks, because of the combinations in the tracking. Did him some good as now making a good living out of Transport Planning. :D

I'm a little out of step with the 'cool' stuff for Xmas this year but I do know that my daughter has bought my grandson a battery powered helicopter. It seems that it's the most wanted at the moment.

It could be an idea and if someone could enlighten me, I'd be grateful.

My son loves Harry Potter too so we've got him a few bits. You struggle to get hold of a lot of the figures etc, at the moment, there's a lot out of stock. Luckily we got them weeks ago.

Power Rangers .. :D One of my colleagues at work's daughter (6 years) is going to a fancy dress at Botany Bay tomorrow through school.. she bought her a lovely 'Pink' (take note Miss Kitty) Power Rangers outfit from M & S. Well, beats trying to make summat outta' sheets I suppose. Didn't realise they had returned. :D

Best way that Lilly, trawled the shops and internet last year for certain items so this year we have been more organised and bought all the kids stuff weeks ago.

Nowt more to be said then .. LOL. 'cept would have gone meself if it hadn't been so gale force, cold and wet..:(

Re: Lego .. yes, David .. best toy invented. Not sure, if at 6 year old still into the big/little lego. All I can advise is that, just to buy the bog standard kit at this age, as specialised kits just get made the once and then finish up in a toy crate with the rest of it. Gave away loads of 'mixed' pieces couple of years ago to the lads next door.

What about a remote controlled car? Lads never seem to get too old for them.

Also, I think a train set would be good, though they can be a bit pricey, but alot of boys and men love train sets and model things like that.
