Kids singing lessons?
 

Hi all,
Am new to this site but was wondering if you could help me with a problem.
I have a 7 year old daughter that really enjoys singing.So we are looking at getting her singing lessons but the only place i have found is in Blackburn.
Do any of you know of any where more local?

as daft as it sounds I wanted to take singing lessons a few years ago in order to sing at my wedding. Couldn't find anything!

saying that though nobody would have been able to help me anyway but they still could hav emade some dosh offa me

thats something i have never been aware of in accy, used to be quite a few who taught Elocution, but never singing, soz.:confused:

I don't know of anyone in Accrington but I do know of one in Oswaldtwistle. I used to go to her for flute and recorder lessons, she does singing lessons too.

I had singing lessons years ago and the lady who taught me was also the choir master of rossendale ladies choir.you could try a ladies choir i know they are always willing to take on keen willing youths

Can't help mumtotwo .. don't think there is anyone local.

Even if there was, don't think advisable to train a 7 years olds voice at such an early age until the muscles and vocal chords have developed properly. Can do more harm than good. Can, of course, be trained into actions, presentation, phrasing, breathing, etc., I suppose.

My daughter enjoyed this singing teacher. She's in Oswaldtwistle near Ossie Mills. She's called Melanie and is in the Yellow Pages under music teachers. The entry is 'Sing like a pop star'. She also does some drama / singing workshops. You can make your own CDs etc. Quite informal and relaxed. Would recommend.
