For christmas my niece who is 13 (and who may not live to her 14th birthday), bought me a wasgij - jigsaw puzzle without a picture. Its called Calendar Gals Wasgij 13. Now has anyone done this one or do you know anyone who has or do you know any website where to get the FINISHED picture not the picture on the box? These jigsaws drive me crazy, she bought me one before and i cant do them - i gave up on the other one after 3 months of it hanging around.

Rindy these jigsaw puzzles are 1000 pieces so no chance would i do a 1000 piece jigsaw in a day. Anyway spent Boxing Day watching my xmas dvd Pirates of the Carribbean At worlds End.

Do you want to borrow it Rindy after i get fed up of it and sling it in the box or if by any chance i manage to do it?

Well ive managed to get the outside done .... so thats roundabout 140 pieces so just another 860 to go.

Agreed these are bloody hard. Best thing to do is sort out the pieces into bits you can understand what they are, like if there is a car there do that first then work around it. Takes ages to do one though. Great feeling when you finish one, good luck to you.

I absolutely love those wasgij's and have a had a few over the years but yes they do get frustrating...even better was a "morse" jigsaw where you had to work out all the clues and the final answer was what the picture would be :D

I have never heard of wasgij jigsaws but they sound like a form of self torture to me. :eek:

I saw a jigsaw in a shop last year, it had 1000 pieces and the finished picture was just a load of baked beans!

Where's the fun in these things? How are you supposed to finish them without becoming an alcoholic, murdering your kids and chucking your husband out? :D
