Pubs

Not actually Blackburn Rd. Accrington but Blackburn Rd. Rising Bridge, Many years ago there used to be a pub at bottom of Hazel Street (opposite Hollands) does anyone know what it was called or how I can find out, It was probably more than 60 years ago.

Re: Pubs

The only one i can think of is the Rising Bridge Working Mans Club and that was on Hazel Street but it was at the top it closed in the early 90's. Its now a house. Never heard of one across the road from Hollands. There used to be a shop and then the row of cottages and bash methodist church across the road from Hollands, and on the same side as hollands there was a shop at the end of the row of houses.

u know full well ive only been on this earth for 40 years!!

spug also knows hes my toyboy anyway and hes not bothered!!!

I just sent a text to someone who is a few years older than me to find out out for definate if there is one there. But the only one i can remember is the club at the top of Hazel Street.

Also delving into my file on Rising Bridge which i did 25 yrs ago which does have some history of rising bridge in it.
