Divorce

Strange question, but does anyone know how long a divorce takes normally from beginning to end?

Re: Divorce

I did it 22 years ago, the process took around eight months but freedom takes a lot longer.......

If you are going to do it, talk to each other and keep it clean.

Re: Divorce

Mine took about six months, I think some of that was my ex deciding whether or not she wanted to sign the papers.

Re: Divorce

depends on agreements between both partners, how quick the solicitors work, and court dates!!

Re: Divorce

I didnt oppose it or anything, just let get on with it, as far as I know there were no hiccups, I think the reason for doing it influences time as well, I told her to say I had been unfaithful, and I think that speeded it up.

Also, if you have been split up and living separate for 2 years or more that speeds it up. Thats what my Dad did with his second wife.

Not necessarily - I went for the two year separation but it still took 6 months after the two years were up for everything to be finalised.
