does anyone know someone who engraves ?
 

without going into too much personal details I am looking to have a a bit of granite engraved.
does anyone know of anyone who does such a thing - dont want to spend alot of cash in doing so.

i used the guy who has a place on burnley rd by the whittakers,a few yrs back, you will be very lucky to find anyone who does it on the side,if thats what yer after glasgow guy,? i didn't find him too expensive, hope that helps.

I think that is Frank Hartley - an old mate of my brother, and he was an usher at my wedding (1st one)
He will be about 68 now, so may have retired. He has been an engraver all his life - was a 'time served' apprentice. You wouldn't find one better.

not looking for a job on the side, just someone who will do it for a reasonable price, thats all - and I did think of a funeral directors but I thought they would charge a small fortune.
I have no shortage of granite (perk of the job) so its not like that has to be gotten. just the engraving required.

always ask to see some of their work mate,especially if yer having the letters painted or owt, some cowboys engrave too shallow, n it wears off with weather in a few years,trust me on that.;)
