There are spray cans that bus drivers use to remove it from seats.
Before that - try freezing it to a hard state by using ice cubes which will make it brittle and so capable of being scraped off

I got chewing gum on a brand new pair of suede loafers and I used the ice cube trick......but so that the wetness didn't affect the suede i put the ice cube into one of those sealable plastic bags.......It worked a treat....every bit came off.

All those sprays do is freeze the chewy so it can be chipped off, so the ice cube trick works a treat.

WD40 is good for removing chewing gum, so is warm vinegar

Not tried that I always reach for the ice. Will give it a dip next time I need to

HERES a PDF list of It's 2000+ uses, I'll let you search through it to see if the chewing gum is on there :D

Edit - I've just looked and the only one I can find is "remove gum from bedsheets"

Then of course you will need something to remove the stain that the WD40 left on the upholstery. Ice works and won't leave a stain, and if you put the ice into a plastic bag then you won't have a wet seat either;)
