Re: Mouldy Bread

bread probably goes mouldy quicker because of the warmer weather, its the same with friut too, iv noticed me oranges and apples going off a lot quicker and me spuds rooting:rolleyes:

As for warbutons bread, it probably keeps longer because of all the preservatives in it!
and its like dough...yuk!!!

I now buy kingsmill, and its not a bad loaf either, i always buy in bulk and freeze it!:D

Re: Mouldy Bread

Someone was giving away a bread machine on Freecycle today.
Three minutes to fill it and switch on -job done
It works out cheaper and the bread is real good stuff

Don't think I'd want to break a piece of their face off to try it

And we all know that the best flour comes from Canadian No 1 grade Spring Wheat from the great (and flat) Province of Saskatchewan:D ... and there should be no shortage this year .... Saskatchewan could have a bumper crop:alright:

I also have a bread machine, never use it stuck in a cupboard catching dust although the bread was amazing but have to agree it does make you eat it all at once

I think thats your solution pipinfort!

Get a breadmaker, make ya own bread

That way, ya know who to blame when the bread goes mouldy;)

thats one reason I never buy bread products with blueberries in , difficult to tell if its mould or just the fruit .
Also I can never figure out why the hole in the center of a week old bagel is bigger than the hole in the center of a fresh one , you would think if the bagel dries up and shrinks the hole would get smaller

Maybe it is just the bagel that shrinks and the hole stays the same size:confused: This question should be addressed to some of the great minds in physics;) And are we to assume that people in Accy know what a bagel is:D I know that this might offend people in the Big Apple, but the best bagels are those from Montreal, esp. in the Trans Island area where there is a large Jewish population .... (can never figure out why the breakfast bagel from Rotten Ronny's comes with bacon or ham:confused: .... sounds like a contradiction in foods to me.)
