Re: Freeview problems??

I read about that in another paper -seems it affects some older models that have a VHS incorporated in the box. So I expect that not many people are still using that sort.

Does anybody's sound go off for a few seconds several times a day or randomly switches itself off aand back on again?
My dad and my grandma both have these problems and wondered if they were common?

now you've gt me thinking beechy, it has never really effected me as I have a full Sky service, but both of my TVs have built in freeview and are both digital ready, and I've only just started using freeview since I put one in the bedroom.

Re: Freeview problems??

The digital TV service has recently undergone a major overhaul. Older set-top-boxes will have problems and need to be replaced. Ours is quite old, and regularly reports "new channels found" although there aren't any.

Edit: Oops - didn't realise someone had already posted a link about the upgrade. I just saw that someone has had two STBs go on the fritz. Sorry

Is it a problem with the reception or what?
It can be quite annoying if you are in the middle of something good and you miss parts because of it!
