Wild Garlic.........
 
I know it was mentioned in another thread but i`m thinking of getting some wild garlic bulbs, any do`s or don`ts or tips you have most welcome.......i think it was tin monkey who had grown some..?

I did grow garlic, but it wasn't wild garlic. Wild garlic grows mainly in shady areas, such as woodlands and I believe that you eat the leaves, not the bulbs.

I grew Solent Wight garlic as it's a hardy variety and grows better in our climate. I planted it in November and harvested it in August, so make sure that you can set aside the space for it as it takes a while to grow. There are varieties that grow at different times of the year, but the variety I grew keeps well, which is what I wanted.

Thanx for that.:D yes the wild garlic has edible leaves ideal for salads you can eat the bulbs but apparently they are very small. Where did you get the Solent White Garlic from....?
