Help wanted....
 

A band im friends with (moral panic) are in need of someone to film them whilst they are gigging on Saturday-i have seen them and they are immense.....they played at our wedding and we went to see them at Stanley WMC on Saturday(both times were fantastic!).
They do covers and their own material.
They are currently in the process of getting a contract with Backbeat in Oswaldtwistle-its looking very positive for them!
If anyone can spare the time and effort to help them out at the Napier in Blackburn please PM me-any help will be gratefully recieved by all members.

I can do Saturday, but my video camera is knacked. I'd need to send its output straight to a laptop, which means I'd need power & a table. If it's practical, let me know by PM.

If you & Corky are there, you can have your second CD of pictures too (which I was supposed to post, but haven't got around to).

I've got a photoshoot in the studio from 2pm to 3:30, but I can come straight to Accy from there.

It would help if the band or venue are recording the gig to a digital format - that way I can ignore audio and just use zoom to keep out of the way of the audience.

The gig is at the Napier in Blackburn from 4:30 is that ok?...and il let Andy talk techy with you......whoosh *straight over my head*.

we wouldnt mind if you managed to get some sound on the video to if possible mate, im sure a table wont be difficult in a pub, anything else you might need?

Sound isn't a problem on the camera, it's just that if I can get a separate recording, I don't have to worry about anybody hitting the microphone or the stereo balance when I swing around to get a bit of footage of all your adoring groupies. :D

I might just try getting the footage on tape rather than risking beer on the laptops - if I clean the camera heads I think I'll be OK. I'll get what I can. How long is your set? 45min? Just so I can budget for tapes.

25-30 minutes mate, how many tapes will that be?

Just one tape. A 45 minute set will fit easily on a tape, but if I start rolling too soon, and the band has too many encores, I could easily run out before they've finished. Ask me how I know...:rolleyes:

Anyway, for a 30min set I'll start rolling 10 min before and have 20 min left at the end just in case Danielle does something dramatic to keep you onstage for longer. :D

Aint actually heard these guys yet but think i will have to soon. if its the andy i think it is i remember getting drunk with him many many moons ago lol. hope everything goes well for them, be nice to have a local band make it 'big'.
