my logic says H.R. is correct, if there was high suger in em, some ****** would have slagged em off years ago on a documentary or summat.

There has been a bit of a ho ha recently about the sugar and salt levels being much higher in our versions of the well known brands compared to the same branded product sold in other countries

Re: Does anybody have any weetabix in their cupboards?
Wheat grains contain natural (grain) sugar
Chlorophyll and sugar content in wheat leaves as influenced by isoproturon application and its relationship with grain sugar content Many natural foods do (especially fruit) Even milk has natural sugar Lactose - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I do not know whether the manufacturer of Weetabix adds refined sugar, but I think it unlikely |

They do add sugar to many cereals just like they add vitamins as naturally cereals contain little or no vitamins - kind of makes you wonder how natural these breakfast cereals really are doesn't it? |
Re: Does anybody have any weetabix in their cupboards?
I hadn't looked at the next page of the Weetabix link.
Now I have and read- Weetabix contains the following ingredients listed in order of amount used.Wholegrain Wheat (95%), Malted Barley Extract, Sugar, Salt, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Folic Acid. So it does have 'added sugar' I have just looked at my Readybrek - it doesnt ps - but it does show 1gram of (natural) sugar per 100grams in the nutrition value list |
