Is your School Closed?
 

Check out Radio Lancashire to see if you can stay in bed or have to get the kids ready for school this morning. It appears to be the most accurate site I have found so far.

You could also listen to AccyWeb radio, it wont tell you if schools are open but at least you can choose the music it plays yourself :)

Lancashire Radio have been updating there website every 10 minutes or so all morning. The Education Authority website let us down again :(

It's a good job we're not Scandinavian, as none of us would be now able to read and write!

I wonder how many people will have to miss work today as well, because there is no one to look after their children?

Schools should remain open as long as one teacher is there, or unless the heating system is down. A bit of slush is a pathetic excuse.

Still, at least the kids will be able to play in all the fresh new snow...the stuff that didn't appear overnight as promised.

It snowed for a couple of hours in Fern Gore, i know because i was up for quite a while in the night and all the estate kids are out in it now.

Just heard they've sent Rhyddings home, theres hardly owt on the floor now :confused:
Started snowing at 1am and still at it at 6am, took me over an hour to get home from work (usually 8 mins), Hassy bypass chockers because the bypass over the coppice was closed off :mad:, 12 hour shift, hour to get home and now I don't feel tired :mad:

Hollins is closed it is pathetic that schools are closing because of a bit of sleet.

Can I say Well Done to Fairfield Childrens Centre who are fully open.


As for Rindy, We had 4 inches of fresh new stuff at our house! Luckily due to DVLA being a useless bunch of muppets we still had Julies 4x4, taxed it last nigt and it was teh only car out of our estate before 9:30 :D
