Cheese???
Now I am a fan of cheese on toast with a splosh of Worcester sauce or a dust off pepper. The thing is though despite how good it tastes uncooked they seem to lack something when grilled. I like my Lancs crumbly toasted but would like a change, so gang any ideas?

Re: Cheese???
Grated Leicester on sliced cheddar, with slices of mozzarella and something even softer like roule or boursin. Just salt and pepper, though - Worcester sauce will kill off the other flavours.

Re: Cheese???
Marmite ;)

Neil Marmite should be labeled as a biological weapon or at least as a toxic substance. |
Re: Cheese???
I love Lancashire cheese, and it's great in soups, but it's not good toasted.
A mature Cheshire would be nicer. |

I love Blue Cheeses but they don't like me anymore, but milder cheese like Cheddar or Red Leicester are okay, but my favourite is crumbly Lancashire on a sandwich

Danish Blue is too strong for me but i love Blue Stilton is not as strong nice and creamy and very tasty.
I always get some from the outside market stall i do get other cheese like lancashire but that's for the wife she wont even try any other i also get parmesan but that's just for cooking and grating |
Re: Cheese???
Never considered using blue cheese for on my toast and that might be worth a try. At least Accy has a cheese stall me I have to make do with supermarkets.

Re: Cheese???
Could try a layer of mustard underneath, plus cayenne pepper and, of course, the Worcester too. That'll liven it up .. Can be all mixed in with some butter too. That may liven it up a bit.

Re: Cheese???
I'll tell ya whats good, bacon & cheese on toast.....hmmmmm
Or BBQ chicken with bacon and cheese.....trouble is its not very good for the waist-line :( |
Re: Cheese???
The only cheese that works for me, toasted, is mature Canadian Cheddar - the sort that's strong enough to bite back. I love it with baked beans for lunch. :)
I love Stilton but I can't have it toasted - it looks like snot when you do. :D |
Re: Cheese???
