Political Arguments
There seems to be of late a fair amount of politicaly based exchanges on here. So do we need to seperate it or just go with the flow as at the moment?

Re: Political Arguments
speaking from a political point of view (NOT) i reckon we should have a section for political issues, but then again everyday life is full of politics, everything we do involves politics....so what would be the point of another section?
i know what i mean in mi head :D |
Re: Political Arguments
As long as it's kept in General Chat, home of all serious subjects, I don't see the problem.
As Flashy says, politics is part of everyday life. If you can't stand all the political banter, you can chose not to read it, and just ignore it, as I do. :D |
Re: Political Arguments
I get a good laugh and chip in some useless comment now and again. It is part of every day life an I was curious more than anything else. Being a Sunday morning I have these odd ideas.

Re: Political Arguments
I like it - I don't understand half of it but I'm always happy to be educated. :D
What I don't like about it is the personal insults - usually between Andrew and Graham - it's unnecessary in a debate to resort to calling each other names. |

Re: Political Arguments
Like all politicians they usually get personal because thats how politics works, ignore the issues attack the opposition.
It would also be good if local issues were kept local and not 'hijacked' by those with no local interest  |
Re: Political Arguments
Party politics is avoidable to an extent but you'll never avoid politics completely.
I personally think it would just cause unnecessary work for the mods because they'd have to keep moving threads around. |
Re: Political Arguments
As i told graham jones - i dont do politics - its against my religon .... and he said ballcocks!!!

But that doesn't mean that it has to turn nasty, or personal. We are all entitled to our opinions, even when they are wrong. |
