Little white lies
 

I have this repetitive fib I tell my daughter. It happens whenever she has to be somewhere at an appointed time. I always tell her we have to leave 15 minutes earlier than we actually do.
She is a teenager which makes her half human, half mattress so the first hurdle is peeling her off the sheets.
She is a ‘she’ so the second obstacle is around getting her slap on photo-genetically perfect.
Then there is the ordeal of the perfect outfit, that she wants an opinion on (Whahhh! Don’t ask me!...Whatever I say will be the wrong answer)

Do you have a dirty, but harmless white lie you continue to tell?

No - what is the point? She will have already 'twigged' what you are up to and so is not likely to believe you when you do tell the truth.
Roll on the time of the 4th dimension when we regain telepathy;)

i tried really hard not to tell the white lies... and as a result .. i know i can honestly ask for my daughters advice on an outfit .. she will tell me straight and i value her opinion as she does mine

Well margaret I dont think telling the truth all the time would be very productive TBH but I havent the patience on a thread that is quite obviously an attempt at some humour, reaching out, n to communicate with people to start to explain that........

I cant dumb it down enough....

never been any bull with me, just say it as it is, me kids are mid 30s now, n both done ok.:)

i didnt say i never tell a white lie... i said i tried really hard not to tell them to my children
on occaisions i got it wrong, we all do... but when its one of your kids that find you out... it changes their perspective of you

Im certain my daughter will flourish irrespective of the white lie about 15 minutes later jooles..

Gosh Margaret didnt realise this had damaged my daughter so much!
Hell hope she doesnt resent n berated me forever.......
