A friend of mine, who was born in Come-by-Chance, Newfoundland, informs me that real Newfoundlanders add swish to the mix in flipper pie, not screech. I guess screech is for wimps; real newfies drink swish.

You could also use cauliflower instead of brocolli for the soup, and do try adding a bit of blue cheese to give a rich creamy flavour, mmmmm delicious!! Lovely with some crusty bread.

I've got quite a few tried and tested soups and casseroles which are extremely cheap to cook, can be frozen and are healthy.Let me know and i can e mail them to you.
