I think you just have to use caution and common sense here whichever lane you chose to take, and which arm you will be exiting from.

After all, you are not going to get a fixed penalty notice for taking what may be considered as the incorrect lane ... even those that have larger markings. Only when you hit someone whilst manoeuvering into the left lane could you be in trouble ... as someone mentioned, the insurance will not be sympathetic with this.

I just find on the Eastgate roundabout for this particular manoeuver .. you have very little time to move to the left lane so, in my opinion, find it safer to take left lane. Just keep safe everyone, that's what's important. :)

There is a roundabout in Burnley, at the derby inn/gannow lane area, you come up fro Gannow lane and if you want to go straight on you have to take the right lane because the planners have in their wisdom, marked the left lane as a left filter only lane :(

As for the Eastgate roundabout, as long as your not cutting up someone else, forcing them to slow down etc then it wont really matter. There are greater things in life to worry about.

I see the problem ... you guys are driving on the wrong side of the road:eek: We are lucky enough not to have those things here .... except maybe in Saskatoon at Five Corners ... of course, we have lots more room and fewer automobiles.
