Electrical advice needed

On a few occasions recently, I have heard a strange noise from my electric meter cupboard.
It is a loud buzzing. It sounds similar to the noise of minimotor bikes passing by outside, which I thought it was at first.
When it happens, it lasts for several minutes and has brief pauses.

I reasoned that this was not my unique experience, so websearched and learned that it is due to a faulty circuit breaker.

I am due to have a Hyndburn Homes electrcian working on my shower install within weeks and intend to mention it to him.

Meanwhile I ask here -
Is this a problem that I should report immediately?
Is there a risk of an electrical fire?
(The meter cupboard is next to the only exit door)

Yes report it now.

The circuit breaker is there to protect against cable fault's which could in turn cause a fire.

I advised them via email on the website - I have had quick responses to that method in the past.

Meanwhile I have my tow rope to hand for an escape via the lounge window.
:D not funny really is it :(

When they come out if they say they can not decide which one it is as it is intermittant, tell them to change them all. Don't let them fob you off and leave it possibly unsafe.

I never did- but you know I reported a post of yours recently - so don't try mediation, it isn't your strong point.

Because the faulty one was not identifiable
and I told them to

How much is it going to hurt you thanking me for telling them to change them all if they could not identify the faulty one :p :D
