Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
Try Baxenden Dental Practice, tel. 01254 236794. I have a friend who was referred there by NHS direct when she needed an emergency appointment a few months ago, from that both she & her husband were put on their register - might be worth a try.

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
The one near Morrisons in Blackburn might be worth a try, will get details off my daughter if you want them

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
It's ridicolous, a basic health issue everybody should be entitled to. I have to take my daughter to Barnoldswick

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
Accrington Rd Dental Practice, near the Toll Bar pub in Blackburn. I've just enrolled after being quoted a twelve month wait in Accy. Wouldn't mind but I've got full BUPA cover through my employer and I only need an NHS referral!!!!

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
When my DEntist went Private (Antley Villa)...it took me 2 years to get back on to NHS dentist...which was at Accy Vic then...later transfferred to Oak House...the situation is a total disgrace!...Even once i'd got accepted, i got seen by mainly trainee dentists who never seemed to be there for very long....I've got a great Dentist at Oak House now called David...who i'd reccomend to anyone...try to get in there if you can!
Best Regards - Taggy |
Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
Try Oakleigh Dentist in Ossy!
|
Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
Oakleigh and Oak House both no go, still trying for the Accy rd ones.

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
I need a dentist too, I used to go to Antley villa but couldn't afford the monthly fees any longer as my sly son had me paying his too because he didn't have a bank account. I've cancelled us both 2 months ago and now I have toothache :(
It's bad when you have to put other bills before having your teeth looked after:sad8: |

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
Bloody hell Cashy, the robbing barstewards were charging me £12.50 a month. I've just had my calculator out and that's £150 a year. £300 for me and son:eek::eek:
I don't think they have em at Accy Vic now. I've been told to ring NHS direct to get an appointment. :( |
Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
if you need an emergency dentist then you go to oak house .. i was there twice last year .. if you dont have a dentist they'll put you on the waiting list and someone will contact you .. i got a letter about 3 months later .. and signed up at baxenden dentists.

Re: Any dentists taking new patients?
Finally! After all this time we have an orthodontist willing to put braces on for Kels on the NHS ! Delighted as the last bunch ( Richmond terrace, Blackburn) said her teeth were 0.5mm not crooked enough and wanted £3k to do it as a private patient!
Accrington Road Dental surgery I thank you!:alright: |
