Duxbury Wood
Between Clayton-le-Moors and Great Harwood, across the River Hyndburn, is Duxbury Wood. It is now much smaller than it was in the 19th century, but there is a bit of it left.
It's miles away from Duxbury itself, so how did it come by its name? |
