Cysts
does anyone know any other way of getting rid of them other than them being drained?

Re: Cysts
You need to tell us where they are...if it isn't too personal....but I am thinking the answer will be 'No'.
reckon that that isn't the answer you were looking for. |
Re: Cysts
Not exactly a topic for the squeamish is it, however I will relate my experience.
I have had one - it was between 1 and 2cm across - underneath the tip of my chin. I consoled myself my calling it my little double chin. I thought about visiting the doc if it got bigger, but I avoid the doc like the plague, don't I.;) It burst, and I concieniously emptied it - it took about an hour and was a ghastly experience. Think of it as a giant zit. There are videos on youtube showing how to do it. My web research on the topic indicates that when it is removed just by bursting, it may fill again, because there is a 'sac' under the skin which would be removed if the proper surgical removal took place. Hope this info helps. |
Re: Cysts
You are correct Margaret, about them filling up again, which is why the usual method is to have them treated surgically......and some sugeries now have the facilities to do such minor ops these days....so it doesn't always mean a visit to the hospital.

Re: Cysts
I had two on my eyelid, 1st one was surgically removed, second one they couldn't but told me to massage it regularly which I did and it eventually did go, it helps to disperse the fluid. Worth a try.
